Post Adoption

With a rich history of 160 years, CCCS has files on the thousands of children that were served first by the Chicago Orphan Asylum (link to timeline) in the early years, and then Chicago Child Care Society. In 2007, CCCS commissioned the reorganization of the adoption files into a central database.

The result is the Post Adoption Program, which is an information service for birth parents, adoptive parents and adopted children who participated in an adoption that was arranged by CCCS. The core of the program is a database of over 2,400 former clients. For more information, contact Curt Holderfield.
