Supporting children, stabilizing families for nearly 170 years.

Chicago Child Care Society is a non profit organization that provides children, youth and families the tools to reach their full potential. Based in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood, we provide community-based education and human services that address the current and emerging needs of those we serve in Chicago’s South, Southwest and South Suburban areas.

At Chicago Child Care Society, we have a long history of building strong family foundations to support the well-being of children. Beginning as an orphanage on Wells Street in 1849, CCCS cared for children who were left homeless after their parents fell to the cholera epidemic. Nearly 170 years later, we are a multi-service agency that stabilizes families and transforms lives.
