Two Gen Coach

Under the direction of the Department Director, the 2-Gen Coach will assist clients in exploring their interests and abilities through a wide range of awareness and assessment activities. Support clients in the development of job readiness skills and personal qualities to prepare them to be competitive in the job market. Demonstrates knowledge of the communities, available resources, and working with diverse populations.
Maintains a caseload of 15 clients providing weekly one on one coaching.
Establishes case management plan with client using Individual Support Plan (ISP) within 10 days of enrollment into the program, which details the parent goal for themselves, a educational/career goal, and the goal that the parent has for his/her relationship with their child(ren).
Enter all client information and goals into the ETO and or Apricot database within the first 15 days of enrollment. Goals are to be updated every 6 months.
Provides guidance to clients in the development of portfolios and other documents needed to work toward goals and secure and maintain employment.
Establishes and develops relationships with applicable agencies to create partnerships for referrals. Coordinate community services including, employment training, and continuing education programs, referrals to shelters, alcohol and drug treatment services, etc.
Provide intervention services that support clients in strengthening social-emotional skills
Provide monthly group sessions that encourages positive peer support
Ensure case file maintenance and access to program case files as determined by Quality Assurance and/or contract guidelines. Administer required program survey tools in accordance with Quality Assurance and contract directives.
Identify and establish appropriate linkages with education, health, and community service providers as resource options for program population.
Establishes trusting, nurturing relationships with children and families.
Maintain the integrity of all case files for the 2-Gen Program to include opening, closing, and filing of case documentation.
Compile information and prepare a variety of reports for Department Director
Assist Department Director with requested program information from computer database.
Actively participates in bi-weekly supervision
Attend program/agency meetings.
Adhere to agency’s professional and ethical standards while in the work place.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with families
Excellent attention to detail
Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible work schedule to accommodate weekends and evenings when necessary
Proficient in computer skills: including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, access, power point, Microsoft office, windows,
Job: Full Time, Exempt Position
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling preferred or related field
